Hi!!

Today I have got a problem… We have been writing new posts for the blog since last year and we have been talking about lots of different things. That’s the reason why I don’t know what I can talk about!! Moreover, I am really stressed because we have got lots of exams during these weeks. But.. in fact, I don’t want to talk about school.

As most of the humans do when they don’t know what to say, I’m going to talk about the weather. In a few days the weather has changed a lot. One week ago, I went to school with my jacket and today, I have gone there with shorts! I think that’s great because the weather has helped the farmers with their new plantations, and moreover, it has arrived at the best time, the END of the TERM!!!

Well… now I have to think about school again so… I’m going to study!

Embarraca't 2009 !

Hi classmates!!

Yesterday night was the famous “barraques” end and this year they have been really short because we only have been allowed to go there four days. The mayor of Figueres, justified that change with the crisis, and he said that four days are enough! First, I disagree with his decision, but now I think it has been a good idea. In fact, those who wanted to enjoy this fantastic party have been able to do it ( I have enjoyed it! XD) Moreover, I think this decision has transformed “barraques” on a better place because they haven’t been any fights. As most of you know, in this kind of festivities there are different kinds of people and that’s the main reason why, usually, there are fights and discussions.
I can’t understand how the fights and the change of the duration of the Barraques can be related, but I’m sure they are because this is the first year that we could enjoy a “pacific” Barraques!!

Now I’m going to sleep because if I don’t, tomorrow I will be exhausted.

Mocross!

Hi classmates!

How are you? Today is Sunday and I am really nervous because I have got a motocross race at 3 o’clock. Well… it is not really a motocross race, it’s called American race. It means that the track where the competition takes place is a big field with lots of different bends but with a few jumps. These are my favourite races because I have trained a lot how to drive through these different bends.

So, now I’m going to take all my equipment and we are going to go to Sant Feliu de Guixols. That’s why I am more nervous than usual, because we have to go far and we don’t know where exactly the circuit is. Moreover, it’s raining and I don’t know if we are going to race or not. I hope so, but I am not sure.

Ufff!.. Its one o’clock and I have to prepare all my things and I have to have lunch so…

SUMMER !!

Hi classmates!

Have you applied for a summer job? I’m going to start working on Saturday 16^th of May in a camping reception. I’m going to work every week end until the 28^th of July, and then I will start working every day. I hope I will enjoy it because I am going to practice languages for the whole summer, and, beside, I will meet lots of new friends.
I am really nervous and I hope that all of these years studying English will help me to talk fluently with the costumers. In fact, I have gone to the camping one or two times to learn everything I will do and I have been talking with some English costumers.
After the first day I went there, I felt really happy because I noticed that I was able to understand what people need and to have a dialogue with them,and that’s great!!

Now I have to call the boss of the camping reception because tomorrow I have to go there. So, I am going to do it!

Mobile phones!

Hi classmates!

How are you? Today I want to talk about mobile phones because I have discovered lots of interesting things about them. As all of you know, I like spending my free time making strange devices and that’s what I have been doing during this week.

Some months ago, I thought that it would be a great idea to connect a mobile phone with the distance control of the gate of my house. After thinking a lot I didn’t discover how to do it, but now, I’m very proud because I have reached my objective. I have dismantled a mobile phone and I have weld two cables on it and when we call this mobile phone it makes the door open. I think this is one of the most difficult jobs I have ever done, because it is really difficult to dismantle a mobile phone and weld on it.

Here I show you the pictures of on of the mobile phones I have modified. This is the mobile where I have connected the control distance of the door.

Motocross equipment!

Today I want to talk about the basic equipment required to participate on a motorbike race. Here there are the most important components about the wearing:

- Boots: they are really important because when you drive through a bend you have to separate the foot which is in the bend. In case there is a stone or something heavy, it will crash to your foot; that is the reason why boots are so important. Moreover, when you jump, the impact you receive when you touch the grown again is really hard and boots protect our ankles.

- Protections: It is called protections in general, but it means the protective clothes we wear. It is like armour, but it is not heavy. It protects our back, our elbows and shoulders and our chest. In my opinion, it is the most important part of the equipment. If I couldn’t wear these protections, I wouldn’t ride motorbike!

- Helmet and glasses: the main part of the human body is the head, so it’s really important to protect it properly. I think that a helmet is never too much expensive. It is really important to wear a good one, and, moreover, if we suffer an important crash, and our helmet hits the floor strongly, we must buy another one because if they have a hard blow, they lost their protection quality.

The glasses maybe are less important, but really necessary if we want to ride fast. When a motorbike accelerates, its back wheel raises lots of small stones. That’s why we need to wear glasses during the races.

- Motocross trousers: they aren’t really different of normal trousers, but the most important difference is that these ones have a protection to prevent burns from the exhaust pipe of our motorbike. And besides, they are really thick and heavy because if we fell on the ground, we won’t get burned because of the friction.

As you can imagine there are lots of other important clothes, but these are the most important ones. They are those who are essential to practice this funny motor sport!

Videogames!

Hi classmates!!

Today I want to talk about videogames! As all of you know, in Castello there are lots of people addicted to the computer. They love and they spend hours, playing games like “Counter” or “World of Warcraft”. I can’t understand how they enjoy playing these games, because in my opinion they aren’t really interesting.
I recognize that I like playing with computer, but I only play with one kind of games.
I love theses ones that make me think a lot. My favourite ones are “The world’s hardest game” and “Never ends”.I think they are funny and interesting. Both of them consist on passing different levels, and…it’s really a challenge because they are really difficult!!
If you want to play with them, you only have to write their names on the google page, and you will find them!!

How are you?
Today I’m going to write about you tube because it is a great web page where we can find whatever we want. As you know, there are only videos , but there are lots of them. They are really good organized like the information in the Google web page. There, we can find lots of different kinds of videos such as : musical videos, humour videos, teaching videos, documental videos…
I think that most of you have a you tube account, so, please if you can help I will be very grateful. I have got a problem because I don’t know how to make my videos “famous”.
Well… I want that when other people watch a video related with the topic of mine, they can see my video link in the right side of the screen.

Hi!!!

How are you?
Today I’m really tired because I have been training all the morning with the quad. This year, my brother and me, are going to compete with the motorcycle and the quad. There are lots of races of resistance, and the drivers have to work in teams, because the races usually last three hours.
Our team is called “Martinot’s team”, because our home is called “Can Martinot”. We decided to make some stickers with the name of the team, and we use the anagram of the Martini drink.

What do you think about phsicologists?

Nowadays there are many people who have several problems with their minds. There are important problems such as bolimic, anorexia, depression... but there are lots of people who have some problems with their feelings and they decide to go to a phsicologist because they don't want to spend time knowing himself.
So... in this way I think that pshcologists have to dissappear because if they didn't exist, we will have to learn to solve our problems, and that will help us knowing ourselves. Moreover, I think that we are always searching the easy way, and that's what we do whe we have got a problem... we went to a doctor, we pay and he helps us.

I think that we will act in a better way if we try to solve our problems.But on the other hand, phsicologists are really necessary in a modern society because we have lots of influences of TV, computers... and that's the most important reason of lots of our mentally problems.

To conclude, I think that phsicologists are necessary, but we have to control ourselves and decide when our problems are important enough to decide searching for help.

"Disseny i construcció d'un kart"

Hi classmates!!

Today I’m happy; really happy!!! After several months working on the “Tdr” I have already finished it and I’m going to bring it to school tomorrow. As I wrote last year, my project is called “Disseny i construcció d’un kart” ; it consists on studying what I need to make a home-made kart, and after learning lots of things, to build my own kart.
Moreover, there is the theoretical part, in which I have to write and explain every step I have done to make it. It has been a really hard work, but I have enjoyed it a lot and I’m sure that if I have to do another “tdr”, I will choose the same one.
Now, I’m really proud of my project, because I have done it with my hands, and it seems that the problems, the effort, the weariness… take form, and I can drive them.
So… you can’t imagine how fun is to drive your own vehicle.

Carnival Vs. England

The carnival!!

Every year I make a post talking about the carnival. That’s because it is one of my favourite festivals. I enjoy building the carnival coach with my friends and I love the parades where we use to go every year. This year, I won’t go to “St. Pere’s carnival” and “L’Escala’s carnival” because we are going to go to England with our English teachers.
On one hand, I want to go to this parties, but on the other hand, I love travelling, and we are only 17 or 18 years old, so… we have to travel as much as we can.
I would like to travel to London and to go out every night in carnival, but we can’t, so we will practice English for four days, and we will dress up four two carnivals (in Castelló and in Fortià). I think that will be great!!

The crisis!

Today I have turned on the TV, and all they talk about is the crisis. We know that we are going to come into a hard period, but I think that if the journalists don’t stop talking about it, the problem will become bigger. I think that we can solve it, like the Americans did during the 29 crisis. The public inversion is, in my opinion, the best way to solve the crisis. But it seems that the Spanish government doesn’t think the same.

On the other hand, we have to put our money in the banks, because nowadays they haven’t got any cash, and that’s why they don’t give any mortgages. So, I think that if the journalists don’t stop talking about that, people will be more and more afraid, and they won’t trust in banks, so they banks won’t get any money, and the mortgages will be impossible to get, and the final consequence will be that the people who want to get some money to buy a new house, won’t be able to get a mortgage. So… I think that if people can get money from the banks, they will buy houses, and the problem will become smaller.


I know that the crisis is a very big problem which affects lots of people, but I think that we have to forget a little bit about it, if we can. And… as Mr Obama says, “YES, WE CAN!!!!”.

Mr. Bean!

What do you think about Mr.Bean?
In my opinion he is one of the best actors have ever existed. I want to write about this video, it’s amazing. I found it yesterday, as you know when you start watching videos in Youtube, you can’t stop! So… that happened to me! I started watching motorbike movies, and I finished watching humour ones.
I think that it is one of the best gags that Mr. Bean had performed. If you can’t appreciate how difficult is playing the “imagination drums”, try it!
I have just tried it and I have noticed that it is nearly impossible, so I congratulate Rowan Atkinson because I think he has worked really hard during all his career and that’s the reason why he is so famous!

ACDC!!

Hi classmates!!

Today I decide to write about ACDC because they are one of the most famous hard rock bands ever known. If we translate acdc in Catalan it means “corrent continua “and “corrent alterna”. This is the name of the group because it was founded by Angust Young and his brother, Malcom Young and they have one sister called Margaret. It’s said that Margaret used to sew with an electric machine, and it has two symbols: AC, DC. But there are lots of different opinions about what’s the meaning of this name.

They have really good songs, most of them are fantastic. My favourite are “Thunderstruck” and “Whole lotta Rosie”, because in these songs we can appreciate the quality of the two guitarists Malcom and August. August Young has been the best guitarist in the world, and as you can see in this video he always wears a school uniform because when he was a child he had been expelled from his school and the headmaster told him that he would never be someone important and that’s the reason why he wears this peculiar dress.

Amazing story!

Hi classmates!!

Since five or six months ago, we have lots of problems because my father has a farm and we have got lambs. As you know in our country there are lot of immigrants and lots of them don’t have work , so… they haven’t got any money and they have to steal to survive.
We started to notice that the lambs were disappearing five months ago, and we decided to design an alarm. We started to think about how could we do it, my brother proposed one design and I started to make it, but meanwhile I was working on it, I decided to put an engine, and I made little modifications. It is a quite simple mechanism, but it works really well. It is formed by two lasers, one engine, a mobile phone and the most important part, a metal structure. As I said before it is really simple because, when the thief arrives, this mechanism and the mobile phone call at our home’s telephone.
The first time it called us was four months ago; when we noticed that the number that was calling was the alarm we went there quickly. When we arrived there, we saw two lambs walking outside of the farm. So, the alarm worked well, but we learned that if we want to catch the thieves we had to be fastest. Some days after it rang two times more and we couldn’t know who was stealing our lambs, because when we arrived we could only see the animals, not the thieves. Finally, last Monday, we could catch one of the people who were stealing our lambs. It was amazing, because after working really hard, we could detain one of the Arabian thieves.
Well… as you can imagine it is really difficult to explain this entire story in English, so I let you the link to the “Punt” newspaper, where you will find the whole story explained really well and in Catalan of course!.

Humour!

Hi classmates!!

What do you think about humour? Today I got up in a bad mood, because it’s Sunday, tomorrow will be Monday, and I had to work a lot. When I came to the computer I started watching funny pictures and funny videos, I started to laugh and in a few minutes I noticed that my bad mood disappeared and , now, I am really happy.
So… answering the question of the exam “Is humour necessary to survive?” I must answer: Yes, it is necessary, REALLY NECESSARY!!
And now… enjoy the Sunday afternoon!!
